Dutch-speaking project manager

The Anna Lindh Foundation, founded in 2004, is the largest network of civil society and civic organisations jointly developed by the European Union and its Euro-Mediterranean partner countries. It brings together more than 40 countries and over 4,000 member organisations.

The Compagnie des Nouveaux Disparus, founded as a non-profit association, is a Belgian touring theatre company that has developed a wide range of activities over the years. What do they have in common? Defending and realising cultural democracy.

The Compagnie des Nouveaux Disparus has been the leader of the Anna Lindh Foundation’s Belgian network since 2019. In practical terms, it represents Belgium at the Foundation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in meetings and projects with other national networks. At national level, it federates and communicates with its members, carries out large-scale biennial projects, supports its members and puts them in contact with international associations, etc.

We are looking for a Dutch-speaking project manager, a motivated and flexible person to coordinate all the Belgian network’s projects. The project manager works under the direct responsibility of the company’s artistic director and administrative director. If necessary, he or she will coordinate the work of other members of the team (project assistants, socio-cultural facilitators, trainees, volunteers, etc.).

Wanted profile

  • Bilingual Dutch / English
  • Good knowledge of French
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (cultural management, socio-cultural activities, communication, social sciences, etc.)
  • Experience: Minimum one year’s experience as a project manager
  • Driving licence B required
  • Very good knowledge of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of French
  • Experience in coordinating, organising and managing projects
  • Good knowledge of the cultural sector (particularly the performing arts) and the voluntary sector
  • Excellent writing and spelling skills required
  • Organised, autonomous and able to manage your working time in a timely manner, versatility required
  • Autonomous, but able to collaborate, delegate and manage a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, easy to get along with and adaptable
  • Availability and flexibility (possibility of weekend or evening shift work)

Working conditions and recruitment terms

  • Fixed-term contract (CP 304) – Part-time
  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Place of work: Brussels and missions abroad depending on the project
  • Flexible hours (evening and weekend work during tours or festivals)
